35 Weeks

Here I am one week shy of 9 months. I swear my belly (and everything else) grows everyday. Things are progressing well. My Midwife says I'm growing a really nice baby and that we've got a thumb sucker. tee-hee.

I still feel great, although tire out easily. Unfortunately, sleeping through the night doesn't exist anymore. Oh well.

On a side note, Ryan and I spent the morning at the New Haven BMV. Because we moved from out of state we had to take the written portion of the driving test! Whhaaaaa??! So annoying.

Tickled Pink 2008

My dear friend Kimberly works for Vera Bradley, which is not only an elite handbag company, but also quite an advocate for the the research of breast cancer.

Tickled Pink is a ladies night out/silent auction event Vera Bradley puts on every year in order to raise money for breast cancer research. Kim gave me the opportunity to volunteer at the event, and I'm so glad I was in town for it this year.

It was a spectacular evening! Vera Bradley does not skimp on anything from aesthetics to food and drinks to decor. Kim was in charge of decorating for the entire event. Everything was just beautiful and so perfect. The picture is only a glimpse of all she put together. She is so talented and has quite an eye for detail.

An obvious highlight of the evening was the announcement that the foundation has raised over one million dollars this year! How wonderful!!

Another highlight was the entertainment of Delta Goodrem. She is a cancer survivor, and her mother battles breast cancer. Delta is THE pop star in Australia. It was a treat to see such a celebrity at a small venue in Indiana of all places. And what was so neat was that she (and her fiance) were genuinely happy to be there and had a great time. She is absolutely gorgeous, totally flawless, and every woman in the room wanted to look like her.

It was such a fantastic evening with such purpose. Thanks, Kim for giving me the opportunity to be there!

We're back!

Due to an overwhelming demand, the Eddy blog will now resume. Haha, just kidding. We did have one request however. So Angela, this one's for you. ;)

We are now officially Hoosiers again! We made the move a couple weeks ago. We got in at 4am on a Monday, and Ryan started his first day on the new job. Bless his heart. We were both exhausted from the move and drive across the country, but thankful we had a safe trip. We felt really good about the fact that our house was under contract before we left. However, just a few days prior to closing we received word that the buyers lied about their income (how stupid can ya get?), thus the contract fell through. The news was hard to take especially because we left all of our appliances as well as other specific things that were included in that contract. Plus, who do we get to mow the yard? Ugh. Thankfully we have another contract that is pending on the sale of the buyers home in Oregon. Ooooh, we hope it sells FAST!

My parents have been so gracious to let us stay with them until we find a home of our own. I'm trying to do everything I can so that we don't become a burden. It's been really nice to have the time to grocery shop, cook meals, do laundry, and keep things clean especially because they both work full time (plus WAY too many overtime hours).

People, I'm slowing down in this 3rd trimester. The energy I normally have isn't up to par. I do not like this as I'm a person who likes to constantly be on the go. I've been requiring a lot more sleep than usual, but I know this is normal at this stage of pregnancy. There are 8 weeks to go! And I hope they go quickly. We need to get another belly pic posted, but I have no idea the exact location of our camera amidst the piles of boxes in the garage.

On a side note, it's raining today. And I absolutely love it. :)
