Lazy Saturday

We are loving our new home and we're feeling comfortable here already. We had a lazy start to our Saturday playing with Derek and sipping on coffee. It was so much fun.

Banta Visit

On our way to Bloomington to visit Caldwell's, we were able to stop to visit Derek's Grandma Deb and Grandpa Gary, Granny, Unc, and Uncle Jason. Here Derek is pictured with his Uncle Jason and his Great Granny.

Welcome Isaac!

Derek met his new BFF the other day -- Isaac! What a precious little boy! Congratulations to Daren and Angela on the arrival of their brand new son. It was so great to visit with them, and it was kind of weird to realize we have kids now. Daren and Angela live in Bloomington, so we are looking foward to taking our boys to IU ball games in the near future. :)

Grandma Deb & Grandpa Gary

Derek got a visit from his Grandma Deb and Grandpa Gary Sunday. They made the two and a half hour drive up, and we were able to spend all day with them. We had such a nice day!

Out and About

The day was so warm! High 60s I believe so we decided to take advantage of it by going for a long walk with Derek and Collin. Obviously Derek wasn't too sure about it at first, but as soon as we got that stroller rolling, he was out and slept for almost the entire 45 minute walk. He loved it, and he can't wait for more walks this spring and summer!

Grandma Mary Jane

On our way from Anderson back up to Fort Wayne we made a stop in Marion to visit my Grandma Mary Jane. We had a lovely evening just being together. Isn't this picture priceless? I just love it. :)

Kendall's

It's the Kendall's! Greg and Becky were like family to us in Fort Collins. We met them at Peak Community church where they welcomed and loved us from day one. They have had an enormous impact on our lives, and we want to model the way in which they live life.

Their daughter Chelsea was a recipient of Anderson University's highest scholarship (go Chels!), so the three of them flew in to attend the banquet in honor of the scholars. Lucky for us, we were able to visit with them while they were in Indiana. :)

Our little Buddy

Look at that face! Our little Buddy is getting more interactive each day. He is so much fun, and we are thankful to have such a happy little boy.

He is becoming a social butterfly just like his Daddy. Derek is making friends at the nursery at Wildwood and also at the child care center at the YMCA when we workout. He seems to possess an easy going personality, a go with the flow type just like his Daddy.

Diane and Bill

What a fun weekend! My dear friend and college roommate came to visit! Diane and her husband Bill live in St. Louis and decided to take a road trip to visit friends in Indiana. We were lucky enough to be one of the stops on the "Ball State reunion tour" as Bill put it. ;)

Diane made Derek an amazing scrap book. It is so great! She put the pages all together and then we fill the book with Derek's pictures...everything from summer photos to his 1st birthday. She did such a great job, and I can't even imagine the time it took her.

I am so glad they made the trip, and it was wonderful to spend time with them. Come back again soon!
