Cindy and Tiff

This blog is dedicated to my faithful reader CINDY!!! She and her daughter Tiffany were able to stop by on their lunch hour the day my Dad and I were in Marion at my Grandma Mary Jane's. Well the hour went WAY too fast, but I am thankful for the time we did have.
I admire Cindy because...
1. she tells it like it is.
2. she always looks cute and up to date, but in a non high maintenance manner.
3. she raised two children on her own -- (people, I cannot even imagine).
4. her skin is FLAWLESS.
5. she's got the best laugh.
6. she seems to find humor in not so humorous situations.
7. her parents (our former neighbors in Marion) used to bring me souveniers from Japan and
fed me the best chicken nuggets (back when I ate meat).
8. while I was growing up she never made me feel stupid or inadequate.
9. she and her two kids Tiffany and Derek would visit us when we first moved to Fort Wayne
from Marion, making the transition a little easier.
10. she reads my blog.

The Zoo

The Fort Wayne Children's Zoo is so great! My cousin Christy and her two girls, Haleigh and Chloe invited Derek and I to join them at the zoo the other day. We had the best time and definitely made some great memories.

Friends

What a fantastic weekend! Daren, Angela, Isaac, and Joe (the greyhound dog) came from Bloomington to visit. It was really wonderful to just hang out with these people and catch up in person. We laughed and laughed and nursed and nursed. haha!

The boys got along great and really wore each other out!

Look at that adorable face -- what a cutie!

Derek getting ready to do the magic trick of pulling the blanket out from under Isaac.

What troopers. Are these not the best Dads? Altogether now, "Awwwww."

It was neat to see the difference in their personalities even at such a young age.

It still sometimes doesn't seem real that we have kids -- whaaat?!

Michigan City Visit

This past weekend was my cousin Isaac's fiancee's wedding shower in Michigan City. Mom, Derek, and I were able to attend. There were over 100 women there! It was a very lovely shower with great food and an adorable cake. We were able to visit some with Mom's family while we were there. Derek got to meet his Great Grandpa Wally for the first time and boy did they hit it off.

Think Spring

Spring has sprung, and we couldn't be happier about it. Yes, Colorado is beautiful, but I will tell you that Indiana is just as beautiful in it's own way. The greens are so vibrant and lush. And it's so colorful here. I love it!
